Join
our Professional Baseball instructors and learn the keys to pitching and
catching success. This program will take place on four consecutive Tuesday and Saturdays for an hour and a half per week. Learn the fundamental steps to help you
become a better pitcher or catcher.
Players are divided into small groups by age and ability level with low
student/instructor ratio. Strike One’s Pitching and Catching Academy will
run simultaneously on Saturdays. Participants choose to
focus on one of the positions for four weeks. Each position will have
specific drills they will work on as well as working together when the
pitchers throw live to catchers. This program stresses the proper mechanics
and fundamentals to improve and succeed at any level.
The 7-12 year old Catchers' portion of the clinic takes
place Saturday's only (see times below). Pitchers can choose to attend the clinics on
Tuesday or Saturday.

Pitching Will Consist of:
(Tues and Sat)
- professional instruction
- build arm strength during off-season
- proper throwing mechanics (5 steps of pitching)
- drills and pre-game pitching routines
- fielding and covering first base
Catching Will Consist of:
(Sat)
- proper blocking techniques
- throwing footwork to bases
- bunt defense
- catching responsibilities
- pop ups
- live situations
Each Tuesday and Saturday session is a separate clinic.
Players choose to participate on 4 consecutive Tuesdays or
Saturdays. Weeknight sessions are for pitchers only. Catching clinics run Saturdays concurrent with pitchers.
Tuesdays (7-12 yrs. old): 6:30 - 8:00pm (Sessions 1-3)
Tuesdays (7-12 yrs. old): 5:00 - 6:30pm (Sessions 4-6)
Tuesdays (13-18 yrs. old): 6:30pm - 8:00pm (Sessions 4-6)
Saturdays (7-12 yrs. old): 10:30am - 12:00pm (All
Sessions)
Ages 7 - 18
Cost: $120 member per session ($150 non-member per session)
