Strike One has been operating summer baseball clinics
in the Boston/North Shore area for over a decade and we are pleased to have
added the Major League Baseball Clinics to our summer itinerary
in 2006.
The Major League Summer Baseball Clinic
Series features a full week of baseball activities at one of the areas top
athletic facilities. Clinic participants receive 32 hours of
professional instruction throughout the week focusing on all aspects of
baseball including hitting, fielding, baserunning, pitching, catching and
game situations.
In addition to Strike One’s staff of professional
instructors clinic participants will also have the unique opportunity to
meet Major League players and coaches from the
Boston Red Sox and other big league teams. In the summer of 2006, Boston
Red Sox Terry Francona and Coco Crisp were joined by Cleveland Indians Eric
Wedge and Grady Sizemore at our Merrimack College clinic. In 2007,
Boston Red Sox Tim Wakefield and Doug Mirabelli took part in our Endicott
College clinic while Boston Red Sox Alex Cora and Baltimore Oriole Kevin
Millar visited our clinic at Merrimack College. In 2008, Dustin
Pedroia and Alex Cora were special guests at the Eric Wedge Major League
Summer Baseball Clinics.
The Eric Wedge Summer Baseball Clinics include:
